About Maddie

International Governance Expert
Employed by the British Government during Brexit, in Scottish Parliament during the Scottish Referendum for Independence, researched dissertation in Lebanon at the beginning of the Syrian refugee crisis. Maddie holds a Masters in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, a top-20 global university.
In 2021, Maddie became the first Trade Commissioner to openly transition while serving for the Government of Canada. This public 'coming out' resulted in repeated opportunities to educate the public on issues related to growing up and coming out as a member of the transgender community at work.
